Think of the 2010 Kia Forte SX as an extraordinary compact sedan that also happens to be a great deal — that’s how far this formerly marginal company has come in a few short years.

The Forte is a class leader in cargo space with its 14.7 cubic feet of cargo volume that has reviewers very excited, but the trunk isn’t the only great feature that the Forte has.  Features like Sirius radio, USB ports, auxiliary input jack, iPod connectivity and bluetooth, come standard in the Kia Forte. Many of these features are not offered in its competitors.

The comfortable front seats afford a commanding view of the road; lateral support, however, is conspicuously absent given the Forte SX’s sporting intentions. The backseat is roomy by segment standards, easily outclassing the Mazda 3′s cramped rear quarters, and the seat itself offers above-average thigh support. Overall, the Forte SX offers all the comfort that a shopper in this segment could reasonably expect.

On the highway, the Kia Forte moves with more eagerness than you’d expect from a 156-horse, 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine. A five-speed manual is available. The SX has an optional five-speed automatic. The Forte EX’s power-train is more than adequately spirited to drive in suburban areas and is beyond capable of safe passing maneuvering on bigger highways.

The 2010 Kia Forte is one of the most distinctively styled compact sedans currently in production, from its unique upswept A-pillar kink to its restrained, almost Germanic rear end. The SX takes it up a notch with attractive 17-inch alloy wheels

If you happen to be in the market for a car with excellent gas mileage, affordable, a stylish look and an engine that is reliable; the Kia Forte may be the car for you.
